Marianne Marlowe, CEO & President

With over thirty years’ experience in the business, management and training environment. Specifically, her focus is on the people side of change by acting as a coach to all levels of staff from senior leaders and executives to managers, supervisors and their direct reports. Marianne has a proven record of helping individuals and organizations be their best by:

  • Playing a key role in driving client strategies through gathering, defining, and clarifying insights that drive creative solutions and help make a difference in the client’s business. 
  • Developing an understanding of the client’s business environment and collaborate with our team to define project objectives, set key performance metrics, and establish project approach. 
  • Conducting research, stakeholder interviews, brainstorming sessions, and perform various analysis to identify gaps and opportunities. 
  • Ensuring change initiatives meet desired objectives on time and increased employee adoption and usage through difficult transitions. 


Most recently Marianne served as a senior organizational strategist, executive coach, program and project manager with for a consulting firm on contracts at the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Department of Labor (DOL), Department of Energy (DOE), State of Maryland, General Services Administration (GSA), US Army (ARMY) and the US Navy (NAVY).  

Some of her accomplishments:

  • NRC - Served as primary Organizational Development/Organizational Change Management consultant to support and enhance the OD efforts of its Human Resource Training and Development  team. Addressed agency, office and work unit organizational development needs at the headquarters, Region I – IV, the Technical Training Center and other locations as well as conducting over 30 training's, TotalSDI workshops  and coached over 25 executive level employees.
  • DOE -  Served as executive coach as well as managed and developed the coaching program and team who performed a broad array of executive and management support, with a wide variety of expertise in professional and executive consulting, training and logistical services to assist all subordinate organizations affiliated within the Western Area Power Administration.  
  • GSA -  Conducted 2 Situational Leadership Training courses for 62 leadership staff within the Office of Acquisitions and Office of Portfolio Management and Real Estate within the Public Building Service, National Capital Region.  
  • ARMY - Conducted a 2-day Talent Management Workshop for 60 participants Officers of the 101st Airborne DIVARTY at Ft. Campbell, KY  which bolstered the Combat Leader’s readiness for growing and developing themselves and therefore increasing their capabilities to manage self, peer and subordinate talent.  
  • NAVY - Conducted communication training at the Naval War College in Newport, RI as well as multiple workshops for NAVSUP at bases in  Mechanicsburg  PA, Jacksonville, FL and Norfolk, VA.

 

Previously Marianne served as a senior consultant, director of training, project manager, program analyst, and executive coach on multiple projects over 14 years at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) within the Office of the Director. Some of her responsibilities there were:

  • Managed the day-to-day operational aspects of a $30.4 million federal contract including winning 3 consecutive re-competes within the Office of Extramural Research and she served as a subject matter expert to 25 of the 27 Institutes and Centers and the Office of the Ombudsman. 
  • Encompassed the development and implementation of all training program initiatives, including program administration, workforce education, leadership and organizational development, and external networking with other training organizations.
  • Direct supervision of over 40 staff including, trainers, developers, executive administrators, IT program analysts, program managers, sub contractors, 1099 consultants.   
  • Created, implemented and managed an award-winning training program for 675 full time federal employees and contractors which included developing over 100 customized classroom training programs and facilitating over 800 classes, peer-training activities, and mentoring programs. 
  • Oversaw the development of online training for the IMPAC II modules which supports the grant funding life cycle. 
  • Served as the management analyst and Division of Extramural Activities Support (DEAS) A76 consultant with the National Institute on Aging. 
  • Served as the advisory council coordinator at National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering, 


Additional experience was as the East Coast Coordinator for Whole Foods Market and Gaiam’s WholePeople.com, and Executive Administrator at the Foundation for Contemporary Mental Health, the Midway Center for Creative Imagination and the Psychiatric Institute of Washington. 


She holds certifications as an executive coach with the American Society for Training and Development, as a TotalSDI facilitator, a Six Sigma Yellow Belt and as a trainer in all four programs in the Vital Smarts suite (Crucial Conversations, Crucial Confrontations, Influencer and Change Anything). She has extensive experience in organizational behavior, program implementation and management, and an in depth understanding of employee development principles and practices. She has proven ability using Kirkpatrick's Four­Level Training Evaluation Model to objectively analyze the effectiveness and impact of training and successful utilization of many change management methods specifically Kotter’s 8 Step Change Model. 


She works closely with government agency officials, Fortune 500 executives, and other senior management teams and individuals.
